If until a few years ago, seeing a plastic disc hitting furniture was the height of excitement, today we have reached ever greater levels of sophistication. Dreame, a brand that no longer has anything to envy the historic names in the sector, has launched its L50s Pro Ultra, a device that relies entirely on brute force and advanced water management.

The heart of the robot

Under the hood of this L50s Pro Ultra beats a decidedly out of the ordinary engine. The declared suction power is a good 30,000 Pa (an impressive figure that's written on the box), which allows it to vacuum up the most stubborn dirt even from the deepest carpet fibers. To manage hair and pet hair, Dreame has implemented the DuoBrush brush with HyperStream technology, designed to reduce tangles that usually require unpleasant manual intervention. The navigation system relies on a DToF LiDAR supported by an RGB camera with 3D structured light, capable of precisely recognizing and avoiding cables and obstacles scattered across the floor.

Aesthetically, the robot retains the classic circular form factor with the LiDAR turret on top, but it's the AceClean DryBoard charging station that steals the show. It's a rather imposing white monolith (59 cm tall) that fully automates maintenance: it empties the dust, refills the water, and refills the detergent.

Floors are washed with water heated to 100°C, ensuring the removal of dried-on stains and deep sanitization of the mops during the self-cleaning cycle in the base. We really appreciated the compatibility with the Matter standard, which makes smart home integration much smoother and more universal.

The Dreame L50s Pro Ultra is undoubtedly a powerhouse of automation. It's recommended for homes with carpets and large thresholds, where the EasyLeap system and mop lift really make a difference. Although the software can occasionally seem hesitant when performing complex movements, it recovers almost instantly.
