The new FRITZ!Mesh Set 2700 with Wi-Fi 7 is available in Switzerland

The manufacturer FRITZ has announced the immediate availability on the Swiss market of the new FRITZ Mesh Set 2700, a premium kit for Mesh networks based on Wi-Fi 7 technology. The package is available in versions with two or three FRITZ Repeater 2700 repeaters, which can be used to cover large living spaces and optimize performance for streaming, working from home and gaming.

The system can be connected via Wi-Fi and LAN to any router, directly to a fiber optic modem (ONT), or to an existing Mesh network managed by a FRITZ!Box. Within the setup, one of the repeaters acts as the Mesh Master, centralizing management of features such as the guest network, parental controls, and VPN. The modules plug directly into a power outlet and operate on the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies, integrating 4 x 4 5 GHz and 2 x 2 2.4 GHz antennas for a total wireless speed of up to 6.5 Gbit/s. The nominal transmission speed is 5760 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 688 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band, and each device has a 2.5 Gigabit LAN port.

Setup is done by pressing a dedicated Connect or WPS button, automatically inheriting the main settings when a FRITZ!Box is installed, while the integrated LEDs can be dimmed and deactivated. Connectivity optimization and coordination are automatic between the different repeaters, which also benefit from free periodic software updates. The two-unit version is suitable for covering homes with up to four rooms on one or two floors, while the three-module variant is designed for larger spaces and homes. The FRITZ! Mesh Set 2700 kits are available in Swiss stores for CHF 299 for the two-unit package and CHF 409 for the three-unit package.
