Ubisoft has announced the development of Rayman Legends Retold, a reimagining of the 2013 platform title, is scheduled for release on October 1st. The announcement was made during Sony's State of Play event. The game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Connect, as well as on GeForce Now and Blacknut cloud services and as part of a Ubisoft+ subscription.

The title is the result of a primary collaboration between Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan, with subsidiary support from other Ubisoft studios. This version introduces 3D graphics, a new storyline, and fully voiced cinematics. The gameplay experience, playable solo or in local co-op with up to four players, includes a new sixth world, additional bosses, and four new musical levels. The Kung Foot minigame also returns, with updated control responsiveness and rule customization options. The soundtrack incorporates historical themes and new original compositions by Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope.

The list price for the standard edition is set at €39.99. Pre-orders unlock access to the Hoodlum Havoc pack, which includes two playable character costumes inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. The standard edition also includes the game Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, a version of the two-dimensional platformer optimized with support for 4K resolution at 60 frames per second and compatibility with haptic feedback from controllers.

Ubisoft will also release a digital Deluxe Edition, featuring an art gallery and the Retro Costume Pack, and a physical launch edition that adds a paper map of the Crossroads of Dreams, three lithographs, and a protective outer sleeve. The Deluxe Edition's contents will also be available for individual purchase through a dedicated upgrade package.
