Sony launches REON POCKET PRO Plus: new portable thermal device for personal cooling

Sony has announced the launch of the Reon Pocket Pro Plus, the new flagship model in its range of portable thermal devices.

Available starting May 12, 2026, the kit includes the Adaptive Hold Design neck mount and features improvements in thermal efficiency to adapt to the user’s movements and environment. The device incorporates an optimized cooling algorithm that delivers 20%% better performance than the previous model. In SMART COOL mode, the surface temperature of the plate can be reduced by an additional 2 °C compared to previous reference values. The system uses precision sensors for real-time monitoring of skin temperature to adjust the cooling intensity.

The physical structure has been updated with the Adaptive Hold Design system, which features a neck support with an increased hose diameter and a 40% grip force to ensure stability during movement. The air vent mechanism now features a design that is adjustable in length and angle, optimizing heat dissipation based on the type of clothing worn. Alongside the main unit, the Reon Pocket Tag 2 was introduced—an environmental sensor for measuring temperature and humidity that is 18% smaller in size and equipped with new carabiner attachment options. The Reon Pocket Pro Plus is available at the Sony online store and on Amazon for 199 CHF.
