Sony presents new BRAVIA True RGB TVs and the BRAVIA Theatre Trio audio system

Sony has announced the launch of two new independently controlled RGB LED TVs in Switzerland, the Bravia 9 II and Bravia 7 II, along with the Bravia Theatre Trio wireless home theater system. The products will be available for pre-order starting May 27, 2026.

The Bravia 9 II and Bravia 7 II models integrate the Backlight Master Drive Pro RGB backlighting system, designed to individually manage red, green, and blue light sources to extend color volume and improve viewing angles even in brightly lit rooms. Both series support Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and IMAX Enhanced formats, offer Studio Calibrated calibration modes, and feature automatic room optimization. Direct Connect technology also enables direct wireless pairing with optional subwoofers and rear speakers without the need for an external soundbar. The devices' enclosures use partially recycled materials and renewable plastics derived from used cooking oils.

The model Bravia 7 II It is available in 50-, 55-, 65-, 75-, 85-, and 98-inch sizes, with prices starting at CHF 2,199 for the 55-inch version and reaching CHF 5,599 for the 98-inch variant. The TV includes wide-range speakers, except for the 50- and 55-inch sizes, and the Voice Zoom 3 function for dialogue tuning using artificial intelligence.

The top-of-the-range model Bravia 9 II It is available in 65-inch variants at CHF 3,199, 75-inch at CHF 3,699, 85-inch at CHF 4,699, and in the 115-inch format at a price of CHF 22,999. Compared to the lower series, this line adds the Triluminos Max and Luminance Booster Pro RGB lighting systems, the Immersive Black Screen Pro anti-reflective surface treatment developed in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment, and the Acoustic Multi-Audio+ audio system with upward-firing tweeters. These acoustic and visual treatment specifications are not present on the 115-inch variant.

The wireless audio system Bravia Theatre Trio It's a three-channel solution with front left, right, and center speakers, optimized for large screens. It uses 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology to recreate up to 24 virtual speakers and includes a USB Type-C microphone for room acoustic calibration via smartphone. The system supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, and can be configured with the addition of two subwoofers and optional rear speakers.
