PLAION REPLAI, in collaboration with SNK, has officially launched the NEOGEO AES+, a hardware reissue of the historic 24-bit arcade console. The system will be available on the market starting November 12, 2026, with pre-orders opening today, April 16, 2026.

Unlike common microconsoles, the NEOGEO AES+ It doesn't use software emulation, but relies on ASIC integrated circuits to faithfully reproduce the original experience. The hardware ensures full compatibility with original AES cartridges and introduces a low-latency HDMI port with 1080p resolution support, while still maintaining AV output for CRT monitors. New features include an on-screen BIOS for managing settings, physical DIP switches for overclocking or language selection, reduced power consumption, and permanent score saving.

The launch will be accompanied by a line of ten titles in cartridge format, sold at a price of €79.99 each:

The Standard Edition will be sold at €199.99, including the power supply, HDMI cable and Arcade Stick. To celebrate the system's 35th anniversary, an Anniversary Edition will also be available at the price of €299.99, featuring a frosty white colour and containing the wireless Arcade Stick, Memory Card and an exclusive cartridge.
