Nintendo Virtual Boy for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch available

Thirty years after its original debut, and following last year's announcement of a new console for Nintendo's Virtual Console subscription service, the Virtual Boy is officially available today. With the pre-order period now over, Nintendo's VR accessory is now available for purchase, compatible with the Switch 2, standard Switch, and OLED. Nintendo offers two versions for immersing yourself in stereoscopic 3D:

  • Standard (CHF 79.90): the complete plastic visor.
  • Cardboard model (CHF 19.90): an economical alternative in the vein of the old Labo kits.

To use it, you need a Nintendo account with an active subscription, i.e. the Switch Online + Add-on Pack plan: 7 titles are currently available, but 9 more will arrive within the year, including two games never released on the original 1995 console. The visors can be purchased at Who present address.
