PLAION REPLAI has announced the postponement of the worldwide launch date of NEOGEO AES+, initially scheduled for November and now set for Thursday, September 16, 2027. The decision is due to higher-than-expected demand and global supply constraints for memory chips, linked to investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The additional time will allow the company to expand production capacity, ensure component supply, and expand the software roadmap with additional titles beyond the ten already announced, following discussions with new licensees. Pre-orders remain valid, maintain priority in the production queue, and will not be subject to price changes.
All initial production consoles will include a Founding Supporter Bonus. Purchasers of the Standard or Anniversary editions will receive a gamepad. NEOGEO AES+ as a gift, while Ultimate Edition customers will receive a 30% discount coupon that can be used for future titles on the official website. The hardware and new software updates will be presented to the public at Tokyo Game Show 2026.
