MSI has announced the integration of the new Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processors, based on the Arrow Lake-HX Refresh architecture, within its high-end laptop offering. The hardware update involves the MSI series. Titan 18 HX, Stealth 18 HX, Raider 18 HX Max and the new line Raider 16 HX Max. Models equipped with these CPUs are expected to be available on the market between April and May 2026.

The 18-inch models retain the current design while introducing updated technical specifications. Titan 18 HX gets a new 240Hz Mini-LED display with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification.

The series Raider 16 Max HX It represents a structural and technical innovation for the 16-inch segment, with combined CPU and GPU power management of up to 300 Watts. The system houses NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 or 5080 graphics cards. Cooler Boost Trinity technology has been implemented for thermal management, featuring three fans, five air extractors, and a dedicated heatpipe system. The new internal layout has allowed us to reduce noise under load to less than 50 dB(A) and to reduce the depth of the chassis for easier transport.

The design of the new models integrates a front RGB light bar and a backlit MSI logo that can be controlled via software. Maintenance is facilitated by a lower door that allows direct access to the RAM and SSD by removing two screws. The expected retail price ranges between 3,649 and 4,349 euros (Swiss prices have not been disclosed).
