Google unveils Pixel 10a with new AI features and fast charging

Google has announced the new Pixel 10a, expanding the A series with a model focused on artificial intelligence integration and a refreshed design. The smartphone features a completely flat back with the camera module integrated into the body.

The device is made with more recycled materials than previous models, using reclaimed cobalt, copper, gold, and tungsten for the first time. The satin-finish chassis is made of 100% recycled aluminum, while the back cover uses 81% recycled plastic.

The device is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance and features a 6.3-inch Actua display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The 11% screen is brighter than its predecessor. In terms of energy performance, the battery guarantees over 30 hours of battery life, extendable to 120 hours in Extreme Power Saving mode, with faster charging than the previous generation. Software support includes system, security, and feature updates for seven years.

The camera system features a 48-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens. Built-in AI features include automatic Best Shot, which selects the best expressions for group photos, and Photo Guide, which provides lighting and framing guidance using Gemini templates. The Add Me feature lets you include the photographer in group shots, while Quick Share introduces AirDrop compatibility for sharing across operating systems.

The Google Tensor G4 processor enables full access to Gemini Live and the use of editing tools like Nano Banana and Circle & Search. Pixel 10a It will be available from March 5th in Switzerland in the colors obsidian black, fog gray, lavender purple and raspberry red.
