Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 3 Classic Edition e Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Classic Edition will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2027. The announcement was made during the Nintendo Direct presentation, marking the series' return to Nintendo consoles.
Far Cry 3 Classic Edition It's an open-world action-adventure title in which protagonist Jason Brody must survive on a tropical island controlled by pirates led by Vaas. The gameplay includes hunting, crafting, infiltration, and first-person combat.
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Classic Edition is a standalone expansion with a retro-futuristic theme inspired by 1980s science fiction. Players take on the role of cyber-commando Rex Colt, who battles cyborg soldiers, mutants, and creatures called Blood Dragons in a setting defined by visual elements reminiscent of VHS tape.
The series Far Cry, launched in 2004, has sold over 60 million copies globally. The latest main installment in the series, Far Cry 6, was released in October 2021.
