CD PROJEKT RED and studio WeirdCo have announced the opening of the crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter For Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, the first adaptation of the franchise in the physical collectible card game sector. The project transposes the video game universe Cyberpunk 2077 and the animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners in a competitive format based on the creation of mercenary teams.
The debut set, titled Welcome to Night City, is scheduled for release in 2026. This first expansion will include iconic characters such as V, Johnny Silverhand, Jackie Welles, and Judy Álvarez. The developers have confirmed that the second set will be entirely dedicated to the protagonists of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
The game features custom artwork and mechanics designed for both competitive play and collecting. Through the Kickstarter platform, backers can access exclusive rewards and follow development updates. WeirdCo has stated that it will also use the crowdfunding phase to gather community feedback to refine the final gaming experience.
