Blizzard Entertainment Announces Esports Program for BlizzCon 2026

Blizzard Entertainment has announced details of its esports program for BlizzCon 2026, which will take place September 12–13 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The event will host the Blizzard Classic Cup Legacy Matches, a series of exhibition challenges that will see historic professional players compete under the guidance of captains Nick “Tasteless” Plott and Dan “Artosis” Stemkoski. For StarCraft: Remastered BoxeR and Nal_rA will be compared, while for StarCraft II the rivalry between IdrA and MC will be renewed. On the front Heroes of the Storm The rematch of the 2018 Global Championship final between Dignitas and Gen.G is scheduled, while for Warcraft III ToD and TeD will challenge each other.

The event calendar also includes the final stages of the global tournaments Overwatch World Cup, Hearthstone Masters Tour, World of Warcraft Arena World Championship and Mythic Dungeon International. The competitions will be streamed live on the show's official channels.
