Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has announced the availability of the demo for Echoes of Aincrad for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, following its initial PC debut at Steam Next Fest.
The demo version allows you to play the beta phase of the story, which includes five full missions and the ability to test all types of weapons within the floating castle of Aincrad. Save data obtained in the demo will be transferable to the full game.
For the first time in the Sword Art Online video game series, players can customize their character using a character creation tool. The title is an action RPG with real-time combat, featuring a leveling system, equipment upgrades, and skill selection. Exploration takes place across a variety of environments, from plains to dungeons, with the support of AI-controlled allies equipped with specific skills.
Echoes of Aincrad will be available from July 10, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, platforms for which pre-orders are already open.
