Sucker Punch Productions has announced that it will be released on October 1st Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, coinciding with the title's first anniversary. The re-release will include the base game. Ghost of Yōtei, online cooperative mode for up to four players Ghost of Yōtei Legends, content from the previous Digital Deluxe Edition, and the Hokkyokusei Talisman, as well as new content additions.
New content includes the narrative expansion Ghost of YōteiEchoes of Sekigahara, centered on the arrival in Ezo of Nagato, a character connected to the protagonist Atsu's past. The plot alternates between present-day events, set in an unexplored valley linked to the Serpent and her followers, and flashbacks to the Battle of Sekigahara. The expansion introduces new enemies, heavy weapons, armor sets, and color customizations.
It is also introduced Ghost of YōteiMost Wanted, a single-player combat and survival mode with roguelike mechanics. The mode requires accepting bounty contracts to start game sessions; completing combat grants bonuses and unlocks additional playable characters.
Players who already own Ghost of Yōtei will be able to access the new modes via a paid update. Users who purchase by September 30th will get early unlock of the Sakai armor for Atsu from October 1st, revived from Ghost of Tsushima.
The Complete Edition also includes new songs for Watanabe mode, items for Photo Mode, cosmetic items for New Game+ and dedicated Trophies. Finally, a patch distributed on October 1st will add a new version of the game for all owners of Ghost of Yōtei “Yōtei Beauty” mode for panoramic landscapes, a function to separate stats from the visual appearance of armor, and a high-contrast accessibility option.
