The approximately twenty-minute presentation revealed the system Blessing of Fortune which allows you to rewind after each move to correct any tactical errors... or simply try again when a unit falls in battle (in the "classic" difficulty mode, where fallen characters can no longer be used). The game features two distinct timelines (a future devastated by Balor's forces and the period of the Gladiator Tournament where you can change the fate of the four protagonists) with Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda as playable heroes, each with a story that can be played separately thanks to a saved progression system for each character.
In addition to the new battle capabilities and the story, the Direct showcased numerous side activities and the island of Dagda (whose map appears to be increasingly inspired by early medieval Spain) as a hub for exploration. The content available at launch on Nintendo platforms was also announced, meaning the complete soundtrack will be available on Nintendo Music, and a new dedicated theme will be available on the app. Nintendo Today!.
