Corsair announces new limited edition SHUGō DDR5 memory

Corsair has announced the launch of SHUGO DDR5, a limited-edition series of RAM aimed at enthusiasts and PC builders. The modules feature aluminum heatsinks with high-resolution UV printing and precision pad printing. The first two models available, called ONYX BLADE and SAKURA NOA, were developed in collaboration with community artists.

The series introduces patented micro-perforation technology that allows RGB lighting to filter through the side of the module, blending in with the surface design. From a technical standpoint, the memory uses select ICs and a custom PCB, with support for Intel and AMD platforms and the integration of DHX cooling technology. The RGB LEDs are individually addressable and manageable via Corsair iCUE software.

To preserve the aesthetics of systems with empty slots, the manufacturer also makes available the Corsair Light Enhancement Kit (LEK), consisting of aesthetic modules without DRAM memory but equipped with synchronized lighting.

The main technical specifications of the kits include:

  • Capacity: 32 GB (2×16 GB)

  • Speed: up to 6,000 MT/s

  • Latency: CL28

  • Voltage: 1.4V

SHUGO DDR5 memory is produced in limited quantities and is available for purchase directly through the manufacturer's online store.
