Microsoft ha aperto la Gamescom 2015, portando con se diverse novità, tra cui il nuovo Xbox Chatpad per il controller della Xbox One, la possibilità di registrare video con la funzione DVR, più di 3 millioni di titoli retrocompatibili xbox 360 e tutti i futuri giochi Games with Gold 360 da novembre 2015. Halo 5: Guardians non passa inosservato, con un nuovo video sul gameplay multiplayer e il bundle Xbox One in edizione limitata. Sul palco sono stati annunciati la beta di Minecraft per Windows 10, un bundle Xbox One per Fifa 16, la disponibilità di Rare Play fin da subito e la nuova DirectX 12. Non mancano le esclusive uniche come la Ultimate Team Legends di Fifa 16, Halo Wars 2 e tanto altro ancora.
