The event dedicated to Ubisoft's eggplant-man, created by Michel Ancel, proved to be quite rich, with a large number of both fan and official announcements. In fact, Ubisoft confirmed that a\u00a0new chapter is in development<\/strong> At the moment, although there is no detailed information available. The work has apparently been entrusted to Ubisoft Milan, essentially the same team behind Mario + Rabbids, apparently in collaboration with Ubisoft Montpellier. It is unclear whether it will be a 3D or 2D side-scrolling title.<\/p>\n

The fan community is developing a large number of Rayman-themed projects. Among these, the most notable is Rayman 3 Readvanced<\/strong>, an unofficial port of Rayman 3 for Game Boy Advance in a very demanding operation considering the power available on the platform. Let's remember that at the time the Gameboy Advance boasted a whopping 16.78 MHz at 32 bit (that is, the\u2019ARM7TDMI<\/a>) as well as an 8.338 MHz 8-bit co-processor (i.e. the Z80<\/a>), all accompanied by a whopping 288 KB WRam, of which 32K within the CPU itself and a whopping 96 KB VRam. Jokes aside, the difference in computational and graphic power between the console and the home PCs that processed Rayman 3 at the time is clear, requiring a minimum of 1 GHz for the CPU and a minimum of 256 MB RAM to process the software in memory. Even Rayman Origins 2<\/strong>\u00a0 This is a fan-made mod by PlumWing Studios that works as a direct sequel to Rayman Origins, with completely new levels and mechanics taken from the original in 2011 (a full 14 years ago). Finally, there is also a Minecraft DLC<\/strong> dedicated to the aubergine, developed by the RAYLAB Team and compatible with the Java version for PC. Among the ongoing projects there are Rayman: Monsters of The Depths, a sort of new 3D chapter<\/strong> of the series and Rayman: Mystery of Polokus, based on Rayman 3 but using the engine similar to Unreal Engine 5, and Rayman 2 Redreamed, another fan-made project that reimagines the second installment with new graphics and a more contemporary feel.
