Channels represent the apps installed on the system. Various screens provide a complete overview of everything installed on the Wii U.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-6181\" title=\"Wii U HW Logo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Wii-U-HW-Logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"364\" height=\"123\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Wii-U-HW-Logo.png 490w, https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Wii-U-HW-Logo-300x101.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 364px) 100vw, 364px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But let&#039;s proceed in order: from the first time we start the console, we will begin our adventure with a long and comprehensive tutorial that will allow us to define various parameters.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Setting the desired language<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Select the time, country and current date<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Finally, the feared and equally criticized console update.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The editorial team achieved various results.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Pusti<\/b> He was careful to provide you with the right waiting times and, using an average 5 Mbits connection, the waiting times were about <b>40 minutes<\/b>. The interface on Wii U is the most successful seen on a console to date: pleasant and convenient for navigating the various thematic sections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Logbook:<\/b> where we can monitor our gaming sessions on a daily and monthly basis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Console Settings:<\/b> They allow you to define practically everything, from internet connections, to the interesting remote control function of the Gamepad, to calibration and so on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Family filter:<\/b> It allows parents to manage their younger ones&#039; experience with the console, for example by limiting the amount of time they can use it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6211 alignnone\" title=\"doors_logo_RGB_fix\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Wii-U-Chat_Logo_R-Kopie.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"304\" height=\"47\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Wii-U-Chat_Logo_R-Kopie.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Wii-U-Chat_Logo_R-Kopie-300x46.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 304px) 100vw, 304px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Wii U Chat:<\/b> It will allow us to video call our contacts via the front-facing camera and the gamepad&#039;s microphone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Wii Channels:<\/b> or the console&#039;s backward compatibility system. Here, using a Wiimote, we can transfer save data, channels and so on using an SD card from our old Wii console to the new Wii U. We will thus have all the previous saves and software available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the top left of the screen we find <b>the list of users<\/b> which can access Wii U (up to a maximum of 12) while on the right we find a button that will allow us to switch the interface between the television and the Gamepad: in this case it is possible to transfer the display of the <b>Wara Wara Square<\/b> (In short, the Miiverse community) on the Gamepad and display the system on the television, and vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>Finally at the bottom we see a dock with some fixed apps:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6206 alignnone\" title=\"logo_icon_sozai_ka\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Miiverse_Logo_R-Kopie.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"51\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Miiverse_Logo_R-Kopie.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Miiverse_Logo_R-Kopie-300x51.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Miiverse:<\/b> Nintendo&#039;s own social network, a little Facebook\/Twitter inside our console. This feature finally extends Nintendo&#039;s online experience by allowing Nintendo users to interact with each other for practically every title available on the Wii U console. We would have complete management of groups divided by game, private messages (PM) between players, notifications, a summary of our activities, and our own user menu to manage our profiles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6208 alignnone\" title=\"\u00e5?\u00ba\u00e6?\u00ac RGB\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/WUPN_HAE_WWlogo01_R_ad-Kopie.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"345\" height=\"56\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/WUPN_HAE_WWlogo01_R_ad-Kopie.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/WUPN_HAE_WWlogo01_R_ad-Kopie-300x48.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 345px) 100vw, 345px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>eShop:<\/b> Nintendo&#039;s online store, where there aren&#039;t many differences from its 3DS counterpart other than the interface. The functions remain virtually the same; you can purchase games, view trailers, and screenshots of the games you&#039;re interested in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Wii U Tvii:<\/b> TV on demand service, which will be available in selected countries only in 2013. No information regarding Switzerland, but don&#039;t hold your breath.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Notifications<\/b>: as on 3DS we find Spotpass notifications regarding our software and general console updates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6210 alignnone\" title=\"logo_icon_sozai_ka\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Internet-Browser-Logo_R-Kopie.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"356\" height=\"35\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Internet-Browser-Logo_R-Kopie.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Internet-Browser-Logo_R-Kopie-300x29.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 356px) 100vw, 356px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Internet Browser:<\/b> As mentioned in previous articles, the Wii U Browser is based on Netfront NX, which offers full support for the HTML5 standard. You can browse in up to seven temporarily open tabs, and you can easily save your favorites. As a browsing experience, it truly seems like a step forward for home consoles, although we must remember that thanks to SmartGlass, the Xbox 360 provides an experience very similar to that of the Wii U.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In some tests, the protocol reading speed is rather slow (13 fps), while support for the latter is 258 out of 500 points. Unfortunately, the protocol for web apps based entirely on audio doesn&#039;t seem to work, although music players launch without problems. We&#039;re still hoping for a software update that will resolve the issue. As for performance, sunspider benchmarks, for example, yield a result of 2728 ms, faster than competing consoles but not among the fastest for desktop browsing.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-6213\" title=\"Everything-We-Know-WiiU7\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Everything-We-Know-WiiU7.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"388\" height=\"212\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Everything-We-Know-WiiU7.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Everything-We-Know-WiiU7-300x164.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 388px) 100vw, 388px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Multitasking:<\/h2>\n<p>Let&#039;s now move on to the explanation of multitasking, which is managed through a dedicated dashboard.
