<\/p>\nSamsung has finally made the Galaxy Note 8 official!<\/p>\n

The Note 8 has the difficult task of making us forget the terrible debacle of the Note 7 and its "explosive performance." The new smartphone, which incorporates the infinity screen philosophy that we loved so much in the S8, will feature a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with QHD resolution (2960x1440, at 552 PPI and with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9). The S Pen also returns as a way to interact with the device, in addition to, obviously, touch support. On the back, a dual 12-megapixel camera with image stabilization has been included. The device is quite large in size: 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6 mm and weighs 195 grams.<\/p>\n

The Note 8's unibody design will resemble the S8 and S8 Plus. Just like its smaller siblings, the device is water resistant (IP68). As for the specs under the hood, this device will be powered by an Exynos 8895 octa-core processor, a Mali G-71 MP20 GPU, and 6 GB of RAM. Storage comes in at 64 GB, expandable by another 256 GB with a microSD card. Like other flagship models from the Korean brand, the Note 8 will also offer several biometric security systems, such as a fingerprint reader and iris scanner.<\/p>\n

The Note 8 will be available from mid-September at a price of 1049 CHF in Midnight Black or Maple Gold. A dual SIM version will also be available, but only at the Samsung store. Pre-orders for the device are open now, and until September 14th, anyone who pre-orders a Note 8 will receive a free DeX station to connect their smartphone to a screen, mouse, and keyboard.<\/p>\n
