After just over a year, one of the most famous sagas returns, Far Cry 5 developed by Ubisoft Montreal which catapults us into a new fictional world of \u201cHope County\u201d inspired by the landscapes of the American state of Montana.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Our demo began in the middle of nature, in a grassy field surrounded by a few trees in the small town of "Fall's End." The town was occupied by the new enemy faction, the extremist religious sect called Eden's Gate, led by the new villain Joseph Seed. It was up to us to free it and return it to the resistance. Unlike previous titles, this new Far Cry introduces three major gameplay innovations: blunt weapons for melee combat, allies with different stats and skills, and the use of small fighter planes.<\/p>\n

Before starting the game, we had to select an ally who would accompany us for the rest of the game, in our case a sniper to help us eliminate enemies at long range. Using the joypad, we could assign specific enemies to be killed by our partner. Entering the battlefield for the first time, we noticed how the enemy AI has been further refined compared to previous titles, offering an even more interesting challenge during combat.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

In classic Far Cry style, retaking the various outposts is completely free and possible with completely different styles and tactics. You can approach the battlefield using various objects such as machine gun turrets, explosive fuel tanks, or hide inside houses if you want to operate stealthily. Missions are played based on what you've experienced, as in previous titles, with main quests and outposts to liberate to regain control of the territory, with the exception of the climbable radar towers, which will not be present in this installment.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The other new feature, as previously mentioned, is the introduction of planes, which appear for the first time in the series. This offers an interesting way to explore the region from above, including the option of parachuting. Of course, there will be battles between planes equipped with missiles and machine guns, which in our hands-on experience were a bit difficult to maneuver. Overall, Far Cry 5 looks promising, even though it retains the same style as its predecessors. It will certainly be interesting to see the new American setting before our eyes.<\/p>\n
