<\/p>\nOkay, so the Nintendo Switch was actually revealed in late 2016, but overnight, Nintendo added a lot of new pieces to the puzzle! It's worth talking about!<\/p>\n

During the conference, which was also commented live by Joypad, Nintendo finally announced that Nintendo Switch will be released on March 3rd<\/strong> in Europe, North America, and Japan, priced at 299.99$ in North America, 29,980 yen in Japan, 279.99 pounds in the UK, and \u201cask the retailers\u201d in Europe. We'll do our best to let you know the price in Swiss francs as soon as possible! UPDATED:<\/strong> WOG has put the Switch up for sale at 369 CHF<\/strong> or 549 CHF for the Zelda bundle.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Two bundles have been announced that will contain the same hardware (visible above). The only difference is the color of the Joy-Cons: one edition will have black Joy-Cons, while the other will have one red and one blue. This is a unique choice that fits perfectly with one of the titles announced today: 1,2, Switch. No technical specifications have been announced, but we know the console will have battery life ranging from 2.5 to 6.5 hours (Nintendo announced around 3 hours with Zelda: Breath of the Wild). The console has 32GB of internal memory (expandable with microSDHC and microSDXC cards), and it features a 6.2-inch capacitive multitouch screen with a resolution of 1280x720. We also know that games will run at 1080p when docked and 720p when in portable mode (at least that's how Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will run). The connection to the console is via USB 3.1 and it is therefore logical to assume that it will be possible to charge the console with portable batteries available on the market, although there is no confirmation at the moment.<\/p>\n We have some additional information regarding the Joy-Cons: in addition to the buttons and gyroscopes, whose inclusion was obviously expected, we also discover the addition of a "capture button" for sharing game screenshots on social media, next-generation haptic feedback motors that should allow for highly accurate feedback, and an IR camera. Thanks to this latest innovation, the Joy-Cons are able to "see" hand gestures made by the user, such as a thumbs-up. We don't yet know how this feature will be used, but it's certainly interesting.<\/p>\n A dedicated online network for the Switch is also coming. Unlike PSN or Xbox Live, however, it doesn't look very exciting. It will be free until fall, after which it will become a paid service. "Gold" members will be able to download a NES or SNES game, which can be used for one month only. Other premium features include online lobbies and voice chat, but these can be used through a smartphone app and not through the console. It makes us wonder why not use Skype then! Online gaming will be free until fall 2017, although as things currently stand, it doesn't look like the entire online experience will be ready for the console's release in a month and a half. See you next time!<\/p>\n A series of official accessories are also planned. It will be possible to purchase additional Joy-Cons, sold separately for the left and right, for around 50$. Alternatively, it is possible to buy two for around 70$. They will initially be available in black, red, blue, and mixed red and blue. Also available is the Charging Grip for 90$, which serves to combine the Joy-Cons into a sort of single controller. The Pro Controller, similar in shape to the one for Wii U, will be sold for 70$. An additional dock (which includes the dock, HDMI cable, and AC adapter) will cost 90$.
