An interesting title announced this summer during Gamescom, The Tomorrow Children is Q-games' new project after the creation of Pixeljunk. We had the opportunity to test the alpha version of the title in question on PlayStation 4, being an exclusive to this platform.<\/strong> The final version will likely be released sometime in 2015, and there will likely be substantial additions or technical changes.<\/p>\n The Tomorrow Children is about a parallel world where the Earth we know is transformed into a wasteland due to a failed experiment. Essentially, we're in the presence of a post-apocalyptic world with "Soviet" traits, where before the infamous experiment, the entire planet was under the control of an Absolutist Russia. Then, in a millisecond, all organic life disappeared, plunging into a blank, white world devoid of natural elements. All things considered, the alpha version of The Tomorrow Children lays a solid foundation for the gameplay, though it's clearly not free of several technical issues we won't list here. The entire engine and graphics are well-inspired, and will undoubtedly be subject to further improvements. The surviving living beings are in the form of immaterial beings, gathered in a small town composed of clones with a physical body that perform various activities for the survival of humanity. From this point on, the player takes over, called upon to restore prosperity and the order of natural events by embodying these all-purpose "clones," from which one can choose one of five available classes: engineer, citizen, radio officer, combatant, and miner (each with its own distinct characteristics). After a brief introduction to the duties of the citizen and the future in the player's hands, the player is catapulted directly into the empty and inanimate world. Similar to Minecraft, The Tomorrow Children offers no specific tutorials (other than brief explanations) on the game's controls. Indeed, the sandbox style suggests free-form crafting. to bring resources to the community, where various missions such as fighting, transporting, gathering and so on are carried out very well depending on the chosen class<\/strong>. Ultimately, the latter defines the role you want to immerse yourself in in the new society, also determined by the style the player prefers, or by the group of friends you can play with online (which was practically impossible in the alpha). Combat, on the other hand, deserves a special mention, essential for recovering resources but also fearsome for losing progress: in this empty world, the presence of imposing creatures threatens the prosperity of the town, now often destitute due to limited resources. However, combat isn't the only activity available; in the citadel, there are several monitors offering worker activities, including mining for minerals on distant islands, and so on. Or the presence of treadmills for generating electricity, a resource also essential for the survival of the human race. All of this is presented in a very unique graphic style, capable of conveying a feeling of emptiness and quasi-totalitarianism, being the basis of the totally dystopian and peculiar society controlling the puppet-like clones.<\/p>\n![\"TTC3\"](\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/TTC3.jpg\")
