Seit 2012 ist er Gr\u00fcnder von <a href=\"http:\/\/pinkertonroad.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pinkerton Road<\/a>, ein Videospielproduktionsunternehmen, das sich \u00fcber Kickstarter selbst finanzierte. Das erste Original-Pinkerton-Spiel ist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.postudios.com\/company\/games\/moebius\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Mobius: Empire Rising<\/strong><\/a>, ein Third-Person-Adventure mit einer komplexen Geschichte und zahlreichen Point-&amp;-Click-R\u00e4tseln und Denksportaufgaben. Warum gerade jetzt?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Jane Jensen: Es war eine Reihe gl\u00fccklicher Zuf\u00e4lle. Zum einen gab es bei Activision ein Team hervorragender Leute, die daran interessiert waren, alte Sierra-Franchises wieder auf den Bildschirm zu bringen (was sich letztendlich in dem widerspiegelte, was sie jetzt mit dem neuen Sierra machen). Zum anderen verschaffte uns unsere Kickstarter-Kampagne \u201ePinkerton Road\u201c mehr Aufmerksamkeit. Entwickeln Sie dieses Spiel f\u00fcr diese Zielgruppe, um neue Spieler zu gewinnen oder f\u00fcr beides? Glauben Sie, dass die neue Generation von Spielern, die eher an Shooter und Blockbuster gew\u00f6hnt ist, ein \u201ctraditionelles\u201d Spiel zu sch\u00e4tzen wei\u00df?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Jane: Dieses Spiel richtet sich nicht an moderne Spieler, die Shooter und gro\u00dfe Konsolen-Blockbuster bevorzugen. Wir sprechen eher Fans des Originalspiels und eine neue Zielgruppe an, die sich typischerweise f\u00fcr Gelegenheitsspiele auf Tablets interessiert.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nJoypad: Welche Herausforderungen birgt die Neuauflage eines 20 Jahre alten Spiels?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>Jane: Ich denke, die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Herausforderung bestand darin, dem Original treu zu bleiben, insbesondere was den Ton und die Atmosph\u00e4re des Spiels angeht, um seinen Zauber nicht zu verlieren. Das Spiel l\u00e4uft in einer so hohen Aufl\u00f6sung, dass wir jederzeit alles sehen k\u00f6nnen, selbst die kleinsten Gesichtsausdr\u00fccke. Es braucht viel Zeit, bis man das richtig hinbekommt.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nJoypad: Sind Sie mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jane: Ja, ich finde es fantastisch.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nJoypad: Gabriel Knight ist eine Spielereihe, die die Grenzen der Technologie stets erweitert hat. Von klassischen 2D-Adventures \u00fcber einen zweiten Teil mit realen Schauspielern bis hin zum dritten Teil in 3D. F\u00fcr dieses Remake habt ihr euch jedoch entschieden, dem Original treu zu bleiben, richtig?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-21833\" alt=\"PolizeistationNebenstelle_01\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/PoliceStationExt_01-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"459\" height=\"344\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/PoliceStationExt_01-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.joypad.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/PoliceStationExt_01-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 459px) 100vw, 459px\" \/><strong>Jane: Das Remake ist in 2,5D mit Retina-Aufl\u00f6sung und deutlich detailreicher als die \u00fcberstilisierte Version. Wir wollten uns nicht zu weit vom Original-Gabriel Knight (das in niedriger Aufl\u00f6sung in 2D lief) entfernen, aber dennoch die Vorteile moderner Werkzeuge und M\u00f6glichkeiten nutzen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nJoypad: Was h\u00e4ltst du von den heutigen Abenteuerspielen? Ein Genre, das leider nicht mehr sehr beliebt ist!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<strong>Jane: Nun ja, Telltale hatte einige gro\u00dfartige Erfolge, und auch im Casual-Bereich gab es einige sehr erfolgreiche \u201cSoft Adventures\u201d. Ich denke, es gibt momentan einige wirklich interessante Titel. Der Adventure-Markt im Allgemeinen erholt sich und definiert sich neu, genau wie sich alle Spielgenres im Laufe der Zeit weiterentwickeln.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Joypad: Was kommt als N\u00e4chstes f\u00fcr Gabriel Knight? Ein Remake des zweiten Teils scheint angesichts seines unverwechselbaren Stils mit Live-Schauspielern sehr unwahrscheinlich, w\u00e4hrend der dritte Teil gro\u00dfe 3D-Bereiche bot. K\u00f6nnte es stattdessen in Zukunft vielleicht ein viertes Spiel geben?<b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/b><strong>Jane: Wenn ich die Chance bekomme, mit Gabriel Knight weiterzumachen, w\u00fcrde ich mich idealerweise auf ein neues Next-Gen-Spiel oder Gabriel Knight 4 konzentrieren.<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Joypad: Sie haben profunde Kenntnisse \u00fcber Europa und seine Geschichte bewiesen. Woher kommt diese Vorliebe f\u00fcr europ\u00e4ische Mystik? Das ist ungew\u00f6hnlich f\u00fcr einen Amerikaner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Jane: Ich habe mich schon immer f\u00fcr Philosophie, Mystik und das Paranormale begeistert. Ich glaube, das liegt in den Genen; mein Vater war Prediger, und auch in unserer Familie gibt es andere religi\u00f6se Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten. Bei mir wirkte das wohl etwas seltsam!
