Nach f\u00fcnf spektakul\u00e4ren Messetagen schloss die gamescom am 17. August 2014 mit hervorragenden Ergebnissen ihre Pforten. 335.000 Besucher aus 88 L\u00e4ndern<\/strong>, darunter 31.500 Branchenexperten (+6 Prozent im Vergleich zu 2013), jubelten dieses Jahr den Spielen in K\u00f6ln zu.<\/p>\n

Die Gamescom 2014 kn\u00fcpfte an den Vorjahresrekord an und steigerte die Besucherzahlen dank deutlich k\u00fcrzerer Wartezeiten an den Spielst\u00e4nden weiter. Die weltweit gr\u00f6\u00dfte Veranstaltung der interaktiven Unterhaltungsbranche verzeichnete einen Anstieg der Besucherzahlen und der Internationalit\u00e4t der Fachbesucher und best\u00e4tigte damit ihre Position als internationale Gesch\u00e4ftsplattform f\u00fcr die Computer- und Videospielindustrie. Das Interesse an der Gamescom 2014 unter den Besuchern war erneut enorm: Bereits 14 Tage vor Veranstaltungsbeginn waren alle Tagestickets f\u00fcr Privatbesucher ausverkauft.<\/p>\n

Unter dem diesj\u00e4hrigen Motto \u2018Ready to play: discover new worlds\u2019 pr\u00e4sentierten \u00fcber 700 Aussteller aus 47 L\u00e4ndern Hunderte neuer Produkte f\u00fcr Branchenexperten und Gaming-Fans aus aller Welt. Der Anteil ausl\u00e4ndischer Aussteller erreichte 61 Prozent (ein Plus von 4 Prozent gegen\u00fcber 2013). Neben spannenden Premieren auf allen Plattformen \u2013 Konsole, PC, Online- und Mobile-Games sowie technischen Innovationen in der virtuellen Realit\u00e4t \u2013 bot auch der E-Sport eine neue Dimension des Live-Erlebnisses. Die gamescom 2014 fand in den Hallen 4 bis 10 statt. Die 140.000 Quadratmeter gro\u00dfe Ausstellungsfl\u00e4che war komplett ausverkauft. F\u00fcnf Tage lang berichteten 6.000 Medienvertreter aus 58 L\u00e4ndern aus K\u00f6ln.<\/p>\n

Nach der Pr\u00e4sentation der neuen Konsolengeneration im Vorjahr standen 2014 fantastische neue Spielwelten im Mittelpunkt, die die Gamer auf der gamescom erstmals hautnah erleben konnten. Gamescom Awards 2014: Evolve ist der erfolgreichste Titel
\nAm 15. August 2014 wurden die Gamescom Awards zum sechsten Mal auf der Gamescom verliehen. Die Gamescom Awards gelten als die begehrtesten Auszeichnungen der europ\u00e4ischen PC- und Videospielbranche. Die Preise wurden in 15 verschiedenen Kategorien vergeben. Der absolute Hit des Abends war Evolve von Take-Two Interactive GmbH\/2K. Das Spiel gewann in f\u00fcnf Kategorien: \u201cBestes Konsolenspiel (Microsoft Xbox)\u201d, \u201cBestes PC-Spiel\u201d, \u201cBestes Actionspiel\u201d und \u201cBestes Online-Multiplayer-Spiel\u201d. Evolve sicherte sich au\u00dferdem die begehrteste Auszeichnung, den \u201cBest of Gamescom Award\u201d. Publikumsliebling war Super Smash Bros., das als erstes Spiel in der Geschichte der Gamescom den \u201cGamescom Most Wanted Consumer Award\u201d an Nintendo gewann. Insgesamt wurden 2014 140 Spiele f\u00fcr die Gamescom Awards eingereicht.<\/p>\n

Partnerregion 2014: Nordische Region
\nDie diesj\u00e4hrige Partnerregion \u2018Nordische L\u00e4nder\u2019 umfasste insgesamt f\u00fcnf L\u00e4nder. D\u00e4nemark, Finnland, Island, Norwegen und Schweden waren mit einem gemeinsamen Stand im Businessbereich, vertreten durch das Nordic Game Institute (NGI), prominent vertreten. Mit \u00fcber 700 Unternehmen, mehr als 7.000 Besch\u00e4ftigten und einem Jahresumsatz von \u00fcber 1,5 Milliarden Euro im Jahr 2013 ist die Spielebranche der am schnellsten wachsende Wirtschaftszweig in den nordischen L\u00e4ndern.<\/p>\n

Gamescom 2014: Mehr als nur eine Fachmesse
\nMit ihrem attraktiven Rahmenprogramm best\u00e4tigte die gamescom 2014 ihren Ruf als weltweit f\u00fchrende Veranstaltung f\u00fcr interaktive Unterhaltung. Die Gamesweek 2014 startete am 11. August 2014 mit der Game Developers Conference Europe (GDC). Zahlreiche Angebote auf der gamescom selbst, wie die Event-Ebene in Halle 10.2 und das Cosplay-Dorf in Halle 10.1, sorgten f\u00fcr beste Unterhaltung. Dar\u00fcber hinaus bot der gamescom-Kongress am 14. August mit vier neuen Schwerpunktthemen und einem zus\u00e4tzlichen Panel zum Verh\u00e4ltnis von Literatur und Computerspielen sowohl Laien als auch Branchenexperten ein umfassendes Programm f\u00fcr einen spezialisierten Zugang zu digitalen Spielen. Das gamescom City Festival, das 2014 130.000 Besucher in die K\u00f6lner Innenstadt lockte, verlieh dem Rahmenprogramm eine besondere Note.<\/p>\n
